The Project Engineer shall complete tasks to support the successful execution and delivery of projects. Additionally the Project Engineer shall provide technical support during the scope/proposal/bid stage. This role will also require the Project Engineer to support assigned projects. Supports and partners with the engineering team, operators, and management across multiple sites to maintain and continuously improve all aspects of the manufacturing operation. Aspects include safety, training, new equipment development, preventive maintenance development, process/equipment reliability, cost, and productivity.
Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.
All Employees have the following compliance obligations:
Education and/or Experience: BS in engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred) or related field, plus at least (3) three years of experience in capital projects, continuous improvement, mechanical engineering, and/or maintenance roles. Implementation experience with computerized maintenance management systems preferred. Work experience in a lean manufacturing environment with a demonstrated history of leading problem solving activities and projects preferred.
Must have:
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write complex reports and correspondence. Must be able to communicate orally and written in English.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures by using advanced math skills, applicable to and consistent with an engineering degree.
Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in non-standardized situations.
