Summary Description
The Quality Supervisor is responsible for driving industry-leading quality and compliance performance at KINA's Rockford, MN manufacturing site. As a key leader across both locations, this role will spearhead the implementation of all quality and compliance initiatives. The Quality Supervisor has the authority to halt production if a process fails to meet quality standards or compliance requirements.
This position collaborates closely with the local and Divisional Operations Teams to integrate quality and compliance into every product. The Quality Supervisor will also lead ISO certification efforts at both sites and play a key role in advancing Kingspan's integrated management system. In addition, the role involves working closely with the Technical Services Team to ensure product inspections meet compliance standards. At least one Quality Technician will report directly to the Quality Supervisor.
The Quality Supervisor will be instrumental in developing processes and procedures that support KINA's growth in North America, while upholding the company’s values and protecting its brand and reputation.
Essential Duties
Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform tasks safely, promoting and maintaining a safe work environment.
Develop and implement quality processes and procedures to comply with IMS certifications.
Oversee daily, monthly, and yearly quality key performance indicators (KPIs).
Collaborate with the Procurement Team to ensure raw materials from external suppliers meet quality requirements through Certificate of Analysis (COA) reviews and raw material testing procedures.
Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with national and industry production standards.
Manage the site quality complaint process, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented to prevent recurrence.
Provide recommendations to management for improving existing quality processes.
Collect, compile, and analyze relevant quality data to assess quality performance.
Supervise technicians, inspectors, and other staff to ensure they adhere to established quality procedures.
Monitor product development processes to identify deviations from quality policies.
Manage quality labs, ensuring equipment is properly calibrated and functioning, and identify new testing machines or methods.
Conduct tests to verify the quality of raw materials and finished products.
Review existing processes and product specifications to identify areas for improvement or upgrades.
Approve products that meet quality standards and reject defective ones.
Prepare and present reports to update upper management on quality activities.
Maintain accurate records of quality tests, procedures, and standards.
Lead the site in achieving and maintaining IMS certification.
Coordinate with auditors and lead the internal and external audit processes.
Fulfill responsibilities associated with Compliance Team membership.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
All Employees have the following compliance obligations:
Education and/or Experience: A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, and/or a minimum of five (5) years of experience in quality assurance or product compliance.
Requirements:
Confidence and courage to take decisive action and voice concerns to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to foster a culture of quality and compliance.
Proficiency in business computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; experience with SAP or similar software is preferred.

Keen attention to detail, with strong data entry and charting abilities.
Capability to coordinate and intervene with other departments as needed.
Travel up to 30%.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong interpersonal skills to engage with management, engineering teams, technicians, production staff, business groups, auditors, and customers.
Understanding and application of ASTM Standards in Building Codes.
Flexibility to work a variable schedule as required.
Analytical Skill: Quality control supervisors are able to conduct test to ensure a product or material falls within established quality specification.
Interpersonal Skill: Able to work with team of quality assurance personnel to make sure raw materials and final products meet set standards for compliance and quality.
Organizational Skill: Adept at planning and developing standards, procedures, and best practices for ensuring product quality and compliance.
