Summary Description

 

Kingspan Insulation is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Director – Architectural Solutions. As we have sustained robust business performance throughout 2024, the momentum continues into the new year. This presents an exciting chance for you to play a pivotal role in our ongoing success. The selected candidate will be responsible for spearheading all specification efforts across our targeted products. This leader will have overall responsibility for building upon our longstanding market leadership and reputation to identify and prioritize high potential key markets or market segments to penetrate with current Kingspan products, variations of current products, or identify new solutions that drive value for customers and Kingspan.

 

Kingspan Insulation, is a leading manufacturer in energy efficiency and moisture management products, offering high performance insulation, building wraps and pre–insulated HVAC ductwork. The vast product range includes optimum, premium, and high-performance rigid insulation products which have many advantages over traditional insulation materials. Its products are among the most thermally efficient and technically advanced insulation materials available.

 

Essential Duties

 

Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.

 

1. Performs all work in a safe manner; promotes and fosters a safe work environment.

2. Capitalizes on strong market position and global capabilities to meet and exceed annual specification targets through strategic planning, execution, and monitoring of initiatives.

3. Develop strong relationships with architectural firms, design firms, and building owners that maximize Kingspan specification quantity and quality to drive our sales growth and market share position.

4. Collaborate with the finance department to forecast yearly specifications, monitor progress against targets, and adjust strategies as necessary to ensure targets are met or exceeded.

5. Utilize the CRM system for data management and analysis to inform business decisions and specification strategies, and to improve transparency and communication across all internal teams.

6. Lead, mentor, and support the team to increase specification volume, and improve overall customer satisfaction. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Provide regular coaching, performance analysis, and constructive feedback.

7. Develop sales KPIs that drive desired performance and align with our corporate objectives, ensuring all team members understand their goals.

8. Track projects in which Kingspan products are specified and do the appropriate level of follow up to ensure that the specification is not replaced by a competing product.

9. Responsible for providing professional, technical advice, customer service, and training to customers.

  1. Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Product Compliance Policy. 
  2. Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations and market demands. 
  3. Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of Compliance Management System. 
  4. Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: Bachelors’ degree from an accredited university and a master’s degree / MBA is preferred. At least 3 – 5 years of outside business to business sales experience, preferably in building products/insulation; or high school diploma or GED plus 6 -10 years of outside business to business sales experience in building products/insulation; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the above knowledge, skills, and abilities. Engineering or Architecture experience is a plus.

 

Must have:

· Minimum 5 years successful people management experience in fast paced commercial environment.

· Demonstrated track record of delivering growth in sales and bottom-line performance.

· Ability to travel up to 75 % of the time.

· Well-developed leadership capabilities with a knack for creative problem-solving.

· Excellent communication skills, demonstrating effectiveness in interpersonal interactions and conflict resolution.
